SPECIAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NERATOV

Our Special Elementary School Neratov is designed for students with mental and combined disabilities and students with special educational needs. The school consists of four classes, each with a maximum of six students. It began operating on September 1, 2014. It is located in a new building in the village of Bartošovice in the Orlické Mountains, which is fully adapted to the special needs of students with various disabilities.

Why did we establish the school?

The school for children with disabilities is in line with our association's goals – to restore the displaced village, a place of pilgrimage and reconciliation, and to help people with disabilities or other disadvantages. We have been working with adults with disabilities for many years. We regret that part of Czech society still views people with disabilities with distrust or excessive pity. That is why we strive to integrate people with disabilities into society through work and leisure activities as much as possible under our circumstances. We believe that raising children with disabilities in a friendly and family environment, close cooperation with parents, and the example of adults with disabilities who live and work with us will be a good role model and inspiration for children's growth and self-confidence development.
