FOR TOURISTS

Neratov is a unique place in the heart of the Orlické hory, where nature, history, and a vibrant community come together. Here you will find the beautiful pilgrimage church Nanebevzetí Panny Marie, a picturesque mountain village, and the charm of the surrounding forests and trails. Come for a trip, stop for lunch in our pub, taste the local beer, or relax in the peaceful environment that offers space to recharge your energy.

A visit to Neratov is not just about a walk or the views – it is also an encounter with a place where people with and without disabilities live together and where everyday work and human closeness have real meaning.

INFORMATION FOR PILGRIMS AND LONG-DISTANCE HIKERS

If you enjoy long-distance hikes, tramping, or perhaps are walking along Stezka Českem, you are welcome here. In Neratov, we offer facilities for all pilgrims and hikers – a peaceful place to rest, the option to pitch a tent in the meadow above the rectory, and recharge your energy for the next stage of your journey.

If the weather is not favorable, you can also use two shelters built from the old towers of the church. Each of them has a carpet, a door that can be closed, and outdoor seating, so you can comfortably wait out even longer periods of rain.

You can refresh yourself in our bistro or pub. There is also a self-service shop available, which, thanks to an app, is open continuously – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

We offer free public showers, toilets, and power outlets for charging phones. You can get a stamp for your pilgrim’s journal in the pub or at the information center.

KOSTEL NANEBEVZETÍ PANNY MARIE

Kostel Nanebevzetí Panny Marie is one of the most sought-after destinations in Neratov. Its doors are never closed – you can visit it at any time of the day or night.

Inside the church, a unique atmosphere awaits you – a connection between historic walls and a modern glass roof that symbolizes hope and a new beginning. The church is not only a place for prayer and spiritual quiet, but also a space for concerts, cultural events, and gatherings of people from all over the world.

NERATOV AND SURROUNDINGS – A PARADISE FOR EXPLORATION AND RELAXATION

Neratov lies in the heart of the Orlické hory and is a great starting point for trips into nature. You will find short walks as well as longer mountain hikes here. Just set out from the pub uphill, and after 2–3 kilometers you will reach the viewpoint Vysoký kořen, from where, in good weather, you can see as far as Suchý vrch. From there you can continue on to the fortress Hanička and to Anenský vrch with its lookout tower.

Cyclists will appreciate the route from Anenský vrch along Jiráskova cesta through Mezivrší to Pěticestí, where you can stop for refreshments and visit the nearby Kunštácká kaple. From Pěticestí, you can then comfortably ride down to Orlické Záhoří and return back to Neratov. For more experienced visitors, there is also the option to continue further along the so-called bunkrovka to Velká Deštná or to Šerlich, or alternatively via Luisino údolí, Zdobnice, and Říčky back to the ridge.

The entire border area is interwoven with fortifications from the 1930s – in many places you will come across bunkers. The biggest attraction is undoubtedly the fortress Hanička, which is one of the most visited landmarks of the Orlické hory.

It is also worth mentioning kostel na Vrchní Orlici, which you can reach on a pleasant loop via Hadinec. And if you feel like taking a trip to a town, head to Žamberk. On the way, you can recharge at our Občerstvení u Neratovských in Albertinum , and right in the town you will find a heritage zone, the Muzeum starých strojů a technologií, the Městské muzeum, or the birthplace of Prokop Diviš. In summer, be sure not to miss swimming in the Pastviny reservoir.
